I was walking past a shop the other day and I noticed something that just compelled me to write. The shopkeeper was discarding a dried up "evil eye" protection tool comprising some chillies, a Lemon and a black stone on to the road. Have all garbage bins disappeared from plain sight when he decided to do this?
Well, the poor instrument had done its job of "protecting" the shop for as many days and now has to suffer being strewn on the road.
What is the intention of the Shopkeeper? Let the evil pass on to someone else?
Little does this man realize that with this unscrupulous act, he has set in motion an action or an intention that will someday bring him down too.
Choose to give than to take
I remember reading an article in the TOI, which described an incident in London during the 2nd World war. There was a big line outside a shop selling eggs. The only difference was on the behest of Winston Churchill it was line of people waiting to return excess eggs in their house to support those who were affected by the war.
Let's compare this to what happened during couple of events that recently happened in India. One was a major state sponsored investor even in MP recently. Pics surfaced in X showing extreme "trade"ing of plates and tug-o-war of sorts to get to the meats first. Another was an event on the occasion of Yoga day. Pics showed amazing yogic powers at work when there was a scurry to amass the yoga mats given to them by the government.
Basic civic sense which puts the otheraboveoneself is the greatest investment any countryman can make towards to the growth of the country.
